Equipment can be changed during respawn, so players can adapt to what their enemies are doing and try to gain the advantage. Rebels can be customized to suit play styles when a round begins, players can choose a faction with unique traits, abilities, and ultras before arming their Rebel with primary and secondary weapons, accessories, and a device to complete their loadout. Matches will take place on a variety of maps with 6v6 arena battles and objective-based game modes like Team Deathmatch, Domination, and Escort. At launch, XDefiant will feature four factions: Wolves (Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon), Echelon (Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell), and outcasts and cleaners (Tom Clancy's The Division). XDefiant brings together multiple Clancy franchises to form a roster of customizable characters, known as Rebels,from which players will be able to choose.

Tom Clancy's XDefiant is a competitive free-to-play multiplayer shooter coming to PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One and Ubisoft Connect, Luna and Stadia, with full cross-play available at launch. Here is the first official information of the game, followed by an announcement trailer and a set of artwork. The game, for now without a release date, can soon be tested in a Closed Beta (initially only for PC, but then also coming to consoles) to which you can subscribe from the official website.
